LV Siwa Beige Reporter

Released as 2009 pre-fall collection, the siwa leather is relatively short-lived in LV production. This is probably due to, I guess, the qualities and attentions that are needed to produce such stylish and luxurious piece.

I always have a soft spot for all-leather bags. When I first saw it, I instantly fell in love with the discreet design of this reporter bag. Functionally speaking, this suede bag has two large A4 compartments and a front pocket that hold everything you need for work and an overnight short trip.

Louis Vuitton Bequia Trotter GM and MM Bag

The Bequia line first came to media attention in the 2007/08 men's fashion show. I immediately fell in love with this line because it is a full leather bag first of all. Second, the design is so delicate and details are so fine, let alone to the fact that the leather is soooooo silky smooth. Third, it has a very discreet feel and unique appeal.

I have to confess that I was very indecisive which sizes I should buy 'cause I like them both. So eventually, I got them both. The large one has three compartments that can holds almost everything from your laptop, documents, wallets.. while the smaller one is handy that you just take those essentials and go out for a nice dinner with friends.  What do you think?

Monogram Danube (GM Size)

I carry this iconic bag very often to work because it has a large compartment to hold my 17" notebook and meeting documents. Too bad this GM size has been discontinued in the LV production. Currently only the PM size is still available.

LV Cup 1995 Red Messenger

I had a nice holiday trip to Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City, last week with my family. I carried this beautiful rare LV Cup messenger with me. I took the above photos in my hotel room in the Cap Saint Jacques Hotel in Vung Tau, a nice peaceful resort area about 130km from Ho Chi Minh City. OK, talk a bit history of this bag :  It was released in 1995 to celebrate the annual cup event. This bag has two large compartments that is very suitable for holiday and short trips.

Amazone Shoulder Bag (PM)

I took this bag with me during my travel to Kota Kinabalu. It is a very handy and compact little bag that I can put some essentials and go out for a nice sightseeing walk. Pic 3 is an retired Elise matching wallet that I use to put some foreign notes and coins. Aren't they nice?

Today I'd like to introduce you three vintage LV bags I bought over the years for my aunt. They are (from left to right): Saint-Germain shoulder bag, Vavin GM and Cartouchiere shoulder bag. Although they all have been discontinued from production ages ago, they are still very chic and modern to carry. Love'em!

Monogram Amazone GM - Vintage

Happy Chinese New Year to all my blog fans! It's been a while since I last updated my blog as I've been busy working, traveling and spending time with my family. Today I present to you my vintage Amazone GM bag. I took this bag with me during my holiday travel last Christmas. The above photos were taken in my hotel room then.

This bag has been discontinued since late 80s and it is now considered quite a rare find. There are two compartments and you can store a 15" notebook in the larger compartment while still have enough space to put your everyday belongings.

It is a shame that LV does not produce this size anymore (only the smallest size still available) because it is indeed a very practical shoulder bag for everyday use.

Vail Blanket Fashion Show Tote (Super RARE)

First seen in the Men's F/W fashion show in 2006, this bag was named "Vail Blanket" cabas. Sometimes you have to wonder why LV never put this pattern / color to actual production. Instead only the gray/blue and red/black pattern were produced and released. You can check out deluxeduck's journal for more info.

Anyway, I am fortunate enough to own one of these rare founds and it is certainly my top 5 favorite LV bags of all time.

This Evasion bag is a perfect bag for gym or a short weekend trip. It has a nice compartment to put a pair of extra shoes and spacious enough to pack a few clothes.

Sonan Sachoche MM Messenger Bag

First seen in Men's S/S 2007 show collection, this one-of-a-kind bag is made of Kangaroo skin leather. If you look closer to the pics, you will be surprised by the depth and amount of details LV paid attention to.  This beautiful "piece-of-art" stands top of my favorite list because it is so practical that you can carry it as a messenger bag or use it as a tote bag. What's more, you can even transform it to a small shoulder bag (as shown above) by folding it according to the instructions shown in the care booklet.

Astrakhan Messenger - Ultra Rare

This is an ultra rare Astrakhan messager released in 2005 men's fashion show exclusively for VIPs only. It is made from luxurious Astrakhan and Nutria Fur and is definitely a nice complement to my other Astrakhan Carryall here.

Mini Monogram Mary Kate 48H Bag

The mini monogram line was launched on 1999 giving the traditional monogram pattern a colorful, young and fresh look. This bag, named after American fashion designer / celebrity, Mary Kate, was released in 2005. This bag, at the time of its release, comes with a lot of different colors to choose from (dark green, black & white, light pink, light green...) and this navy blue version is my favourite.  Mini monogram line was discontinued in 2005 and replaced by / renamed to Mini Lin. Anyway, I like this bag 'cause it is very unique and practical to carry to work or school.

Monogram Speedy 40

Speedy is always a good introduction to the world of LV for any beginners. For me, this vintage Speedy 40 is a nice choice to carry my everyday stuff as the size is somewhat between Speedy 30 and Keepall 45. If you're a guy and you don't feel like carrying the bulky keepall 45, then I suggest you to try Speedy 40. It's just a nice addition to your LV family.

Celebrating the prestigious competitions in the sport of yachting, this LV Cup reporter (GM size) bag was one of the first batches of bags that were released under the Cup line in the mid 80s.

I enjoy carrying this bag because it is sooo unique, very practical (with 2 compartments to hold lots of stuff) and sportive. It is now considered one of the rarest bags in the LV Cup line and a collector's favourite!

Monogram Batignolles Horizontal

I bought this bag as a gift to my aunt. I can see why this bag is so popular because it is simply very easy to carry, practical and yet stylish.

Stephen Sprouse Speedy 30

When Marc Jacobs first collaborated with Stephen Sprouse and released a series of Graffiti bags in 2001, they rocked the fashion world. No one has ever thought that the LV would be so "in" and "daring" to make bags like this.  This Green Graffiti bag, released at that time, was a bag to die for.

In 2008, Marc Jacob relaunched this Graffiti series with brand new colors as a tribute to Stephen Sprouse. This is definitely one of the "must-bag" every LV fan should own.

Vintage Steamer 45

I got this steamer 45 bag from second hand market. When I first saw it, I just knew that I had to take it home. The steamer bag is one of the most representative icons among LV's luggage sets. The dark leather and used condition just simply add favor to its vintage appeal. Love it!
